After a lot of planning, more van and truck runs than we can count, and a serious team effort, we’re buzzing to say it: we’ve officially moved into our new home at North Common Farm Business Park in Bedford.

This move has been a long time coming. We’d completely outgrown our previous two units and containers, and for a while we’d been making it work through sheer effort from the team rather than the space working for us. So when the opportunity came up to build a place of our own, we took it, and designed a facility from the ground up to fit the way we work.

Our new warehouse and office space gives us four times the room we had before. That’s not just about having more space to fill with kit, it’s about having space that will grow with us for the long term, not one we’ll outgrow again within months. Everything from our storage and prep areas through to our offices has been designed with our own processes in mind, so the way we build, test and turn projects around on site can only get smoother from here.

This move isn’t just about warehouse space, it’s about our people too. We’ve made sure the new facility has proper welfare and social areas built in, not as an afterthought, but as part of the original design. Being a place people genuinely want to come to work has always been part of our ethos, and we wanted our new home to reflect that from day one.

We’re not quite finished yet. One of the projects we’re most excited about is a dedicated scenic workshop, complete with a CNC machine, which will expand what we can build and fabricate in house. It isn’t installed just yet, but watch this space, as it’s coming soon and will open up a whole new set of possibilities for our builds.

None of this would have happened without our incredibly hard-working team, who threw themselves into every van run, lift and box. A massive thank you also goes to Gabor Logistics Ltd and our good friends at Five Star Crew, who helped make the move happen with plenty of graft and a brilliant atmosphere throughout.

Now begins the slightly smaller task of unpacking, organising and getting everything exactly how we want it. But we couldn’t be happier to be in, and even more excited about what this new chapter means for Red.

If you’d like to come and see the new place for yourself, get in touch. We’d love to show you around.
