We’re proud to share that Red Event Production has been awarded GOLD in Sustainability at this year’s SME Bedfordshire Business Awards — a recognition that means the world to us.
The award is a testament to the conscious choices we make every day — and the team effort that drives our mission to create better events, built responsibly.
Watch the moment we won:
At Red, we know that delivering standout live experiences comes with a footprint — and it’s on us to minimise that impact while keeping creativity, quality, and performance at the core of everything we do.

Here’s what that looks like for us:
Smarter materials, less waste
We’re recycling what we can, reducing single-use wherever possible, and finding circular solutions across our projects — from carpets and wraps to print materials. Nothing revolutionary. Just conscious decisions, made consistently.
Cleaner energy at our base
Our Bedford warehouse runs partly on solar. The rest is from 100% renewable sources. We’ve also planted over 2,400 trees through our partnership with Ecologi, helping to offset our operational emissions.
On the road
Our fleet is up to scratch with Euro 6 emissions standards — and we’re mindful of how, when, and why we travel.
Battery-powered event generators
One of our bigger steps has been investing in zero-emission power. Our new battery units give us solid, silent performance on event sites — and they’re charged using green energy from our site. Instagrid Batteries are the future of clean event power.
Working towards something bigger
We’re in the process of getting accredited with Ecovadis, a globally recognised sustainability platform. It’s part of our commitment to staying transparent, accountable, and always improving.
We’re not here pretending we’ve cracked it. Sustainability is a journey, and we’re still learning. But this award feels like a little signpost along the way — a moment to pause and appreciate the progress we’ve made.
To everyone who’s been part of that — our team, our clients, our suppliers and partners — thank you. You’ve helped make this happen.
Let’s keep moving forward, one better choice at a time.
– Team Red
