The events
The Open University has established itself as a thought leader in the area of further education and with this, has grown a significant reputation with industry outreach – offering tailored, and custom educational options to companies and it’s employees.
The Open University hosts a yearly thought leadership event called:- Elevate Equity.
Each year, a different theme offers a ‘deep dive’ into a subject matter to demonstrate the Universities research, development and knowledge.
We’ve worked with The OU across these events for over 4 years, helping to build an identity for the event, and supporting with event strategy, design and outreach.
With the event appealing to a range of educational, industry and respected media channels – it’s important the event has a considerable outreach – making streaming, hybrid & live options all equally important.
The Execution
Forming part of a strategic team, for these events we work in conjunction with brand agency Stratos, PR agency 23red, and of course with The Open University.
Every year, the planning for this event has begun 6-9 months prior to the event with strategic planning sessions. Getting involved at an early stage has been beneficial for all parties, to ensure the event strategy, marketing, planning and direction all match into an aligned event.
After this, a thorough design stage was completed – working on designs for the event, putting together options, ideas and layouts for both the in person, and digital event.
With the event approaching, we rigged the event in advance, to allow significant time for rehearsals and content management.
Finally – we go live! To an in person, and digital audience. With lots of debate, conversation and analysis – the event normally forms three parts, with significant engagement.
