Tips for choosing the right PA system for different festival sizes

We recommend a consultation with us to discuss this. Every event and every space is, and deserves our full attention.For outdoor/larger events we would recommend using a line array system (we stock L-Acoustic Kara – the Industry standard for touring musicians!)

We would use specialist software to create a virtual model of the event space. We can then work out where to position lights and speakers to give optimum coverage across the event.

Outdoor event lighting, and lighting overall, is an important component of a dynamic stage and visuals. A combination of moving head fixtures to create movement, floodlights/blinders are great for lighting up a stage. If lights are going to be used outdoors then they must be IP rated (waterproof).

What types of festivals do you provide AV production services for?

We usually cater to small, intimate festivals but recently we have started working with larger festivals. We aren’t suited to do a full festival – we are better equipped to do a second/smaller stage festival if that’s your requirement.

How do you ensure the quality of sound and lighting in an outdoor setting?

Planning, planning, planning! We would work with an event organiser in advance to ensure that the quality of all these things is agreed before we start.

Can you handle last-minute changes or emergencies during the event?

Yes of course! We would, of course, try to mitigate these in advance but we take spares of things to jobs. Last minute changes happen more often than not, so we always come prepared.
